We’ve been the recipient of a number of awards over the last few years, both for our service and quality standards and for the support we give our franchisees. These awards are the incontestable proof that we are every bit as good as we say we are, and we’re justifiably proud.

BFA

BFA logoThe British Franchise Association was set up in 1977 to promote ethical franchising and accredit franchisors seen to be doing a good job. In recent years, the BFA has developed industry qualifications, QFP (Qualified Franchise Professional) to recognise experts in the field.

Managing Director Mark Llewellyn was thrilled to be voted onto the BFA board in November 2010. “I am passionate about franchising as a way to develop a business and am delighted to be given this opportunity to help the BFA promote ethical franchising.”

Fiat Group

Fiat LogosRevive! was appointed the authorised SMART repairer for the Fiat Group in 2009.

Blackburn-based Fusion Management Solutions manages a bodyshop programme on behalf of Fiat and Alfa Romeo which combines the services of Revive!, Ashford International, who handle in-house SMART repairs, and Dent Devils who take care of PDR work. The companies were recognised as best-in-class specialists in their areas, and identified as suppliers who could work well together with no conflict.

This unique solution is now fully deployed across the dealer network and the FGA approved bodyshop network is also registering an interest.

IMI Awards

IMI AwardsThe Institute of the Motor Industry (IMI) is the professional association for the motor industry and is the UK’s only awarding body that is 100% focused on the motor industry.

It specialises solely in automotive qualifications and accreditations.  Each year, over 70,000 young and adult learners from across the sector work towards one of the nationally-recognised qualifications and accreditations to prove their skills and competence. They can be apprentices taking their first steps, professionals seeking career advancement, or businesses looking to develop their workforce.

Technical excellence is a cornerstone of our business, and we were the first mobile repairer to achieve Accreditation centre status with IMI awards in 2010. The Revive! UK Head Office and Training Centre in Rugby has achieved full approval from IMI Awards to run assessment programmes which acknowledge and certify the skill of our technicians on a national scale.

Quality Assured Awards (QAA)

QAA AwardsThe Revive! National Cosmetic Programme has been developed as part of the Quality Assured Awards national framework. QAA is a well-established initiative from IMI Awards designed to formally recognise training programmes throughout the motor industry. The scheme provides an endorsement of the quality and integrity of our assessment outcomes which are independently verified by IMI Awards. Successful candidates on our QAA programmes are certificated by IMI Awards, enabling Revive! to deliver consistency across all aspects of the work we do, including customer service, quality standards and safe working practices. Each technician is able to work towards their personal and professional goals by achieving this exclusive accreditation.

Franchisor of the yearRevive! UK were proud to receive the HSBC Award for Franchise Support for our growing national network of SMART repair technicians.

Managing Director Mark Llewellyn said “We are very proud of the work that we do to support and develop the full potential of each of our franchisees in the network and this is a clear recognition of the hard work done by all the head office team. The outstanding support we provide includes admin functions right through to helping find more customers when things go quieter.  This isn’t about recruiting someone and leaving them to flounder; we work hard together so that everyone succeeds, and our franchise network knows they have a strong team behind them supporting them with all the business functions.”

Operations Director Terry Mullen has been at the forefront of external recruitment and the development of strong internal systems that benefit the franchisees. “It’s fantastic to have external recognition of the work we are doing.”

Cathryn Hayes, head of franchising, HSBC, said: “Judging the finalists was tremendously difficult as so many franchisors have shown innovative ways in which to survive and prosper despite the economic downturn.”

Terry Mullen added “The recession meant that we had to look at our systems in some detail. The automotive industry in particular was hit hard and we saw huge inconsistencies in sales. Reviewing our strategies within the marketplace, our key thoughts were twofold:

1. We needed to develop new opportunities within our existing marketplace to provide work so we developed a service program allowing car dealerships a solution they could offer their existing customers and add a new revenue stream through their service departments.  This solution was so well received that it has become the blueprint for a national contract with FIAT group and their Fiat and Alfa Romeo dealerships.

2. Further enhance our brand to open new markets
We also looked to win new work by raising our profile and credibility. Until recently, car manufacturers and insurance companies have avoided SMART repairers due to their bad reputation. However, Revive! has managed to overcome these prejudices and build a reputation for professional quality repairs.”

Our efforts have seen 40% growth in the network sales and a 300% increase in work generated from Head Office to help minimise the impact of the recession on our franchisees.

Terry Mullen summarises our success “Good franchising is tested in times of recession and the partnership between Revive! and its franchisees is far deeper than just initial training and launch. A strong partnership with the franchise network means they really buy in to the Revive brand and maintain our standards and credibility. This award clearly identifies that Revive cares for its network and provides outstanding support.
